The crypto market moved quickly after BlackRock unveiled three new model portfolios built specifically for tokenization by Ondo Finance. The ONDO token jumped more than 10% on the news.
The portfolios target income, diversified growth and high growth. Ondo will mint blockchain tokens backed by mixes of equity, bond and Bitcoin ETFs, with smart contracts handling automatic purchases of the underlying funds.
Token holders will be able to transfer, collateralize and trade the assets 24/7 outside the US, though they receive no direct shareholder rights. Ondo is also adding four of its own tokenized products, bringing the total on the platform to seven.
Ondo Global Markets opened in September 2025 and remains limited to verified institutions across Asia, Latin America, Europe and Africa, excluding Russia, the US, Canada and China. The firm already manages roughly $3.9 billion in tokenized assets.
