Binance Hits Pause on Base Ahead of Fork

Binance will freeze deposits and withdrawals on Base starting 8 PM on 30 September 2026 to make room for a network upgrade and hard fork one hour later. The exchange wants to keep user funds safe during the change.
Spot trading stays open the whole time. Binance handles every technical step itself, so traders don’t need to do anything.
Once the chain proves stable after the fork, deposits and withdrawals will restart automatically without any extra announcement.
