Winklevoss Asset Services has filed S-1 documents with the SEC for a spot ETF tracking Zcash. The product is slated for Nasdaq under the ticker WINK.
The fund will hold actual ZEC tokens, with daily net asset value calculated after fees. Gemini Trust Company is named as custodian, and the sponsor fee is set at 0.25 % per year.
Winklevoss Capital Fund and affiliates signaled intent to buy up to $100 million in shares during the offering or on the secondary market, though the statement carries no binding obligation. Approval would give investors regulated exposure to Zcash without direct ownership of the coins.
