Bitcoin slipped to roughly $84,000 as fresh selling hit the market. Two factors stood out: large transfers from wallets tied to the US government and a spike in oil above $100 on tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.
Roughly $550 million in leveraged positions were wiped out in hours, mostly long bets. Lookonchain tracked $103 million moved — 833.6 BTC landed at Coinbase Prime while 40,285 BNB went to an unknown wallet. The same addresses still hold about $27.5 billion in crypto.
Traders are now watching the 83–84k zone closely. Vikram Subburaj of Giottus warned that a sustained break below 83,000 could open the door to 76–81.5k. FxPro’s Alex Kuptsikevich sees 84,000 as key support; losing it raises the chance of a slide toward 80,000.
