Wilhelm Herman has had money-laundering and bribery suspicions dropped in the Foxpay probe. Lithuanian prosecutors concluded there was not enough evidence to support the claims involving at least 17 million euros and roughly 100,000 euros in alleged bribes.
A separate case concerning 23 million euros worth of crypto-mining equipment was sent back to the Prosecutor General’s Office. The Vilnius court flagged improper use of machine translation and the failure to question key witnesses during the pre-trial stage.
Prosecutors have six months to fix the procedural flaws. Herman, who denies any wrongdoing, maintains the mining accusations stem from a commercial dispute already before an arbitration tribunal. All four suspects remain presumed innocent.
