South Korea’s major exchange Upbit placed BLAST on its watch list for assets facing potential removal. At the same time, deposits of the token were temporarily halted.
The move follows Blast’s announcement to shut down its Ethereum layer-2 network because operating costs had outstripped revenue.
All trading pairs—BLAST/KRW, BLAST/BTC and BLAST/USDT—are now under review until 12–16 October. Upbit said it could lift the warning, extend checks or proceed with full delisting if issues remain unresolved.
The exchange also cautioned users that any BLAST deposits sent during this period might not be credited or could become unrecoverable, urging them to avoid new transfers.
