China’s joint directive issued on 9 October by the Communist Party Central Committee and the State Council triggered an immediate 28 % jump in the price of Conflux (CFX). Traders reacted to plans for a nationwide blockchain network and an integrated computing grid.
The policy paper titled “Views on the Development of New Qualified Productive Forces” makes no reference to Bitcoin, Ethereum or any tradable cryptocurrency and does not lift existing bans on crypto trading. It focuses solely on state-approved uses such as data sharing, digital identity and industrial internet applications.
Market participants viewed Conflux, which presents itself as a public blockchain compliant with Chinese rules, as a potential beneficiary of the initiative. Trading volume in CFX rose sharply on the renewed attention.
The same objective had already appeared in the National Development and Reform Commission’s 2026–2030 roadmap; the latest statement simply reaffirmed that the project remains a top-level priority.
