Cathie Wood’s ARK Buys Into Meta, Amazon and CoreWeave to Boost AI Exposure

On October 6, Cathie Wood’s ARK funds picked up 10,789 Meta shares, 36,050 Amazon shares and 97,639 CoreWeave shares. The moves give the firm exposure across different layers of AI infrastructure, from major tech platforms to specialized GPU cloud providers.

Both Meta and Amazon are pouring money into data centers. Meta lifted its 2026 capex forecast to between 130 and 145 billion dollars, while AWS posted 37 % year-on-year revenue growth to 42.2 billion dollars in the second quarter. Amazon separately expects roughly 200 billion dollars in capital spending by 2026, much of it tied to AI.

CoreWeave stays narrower, building cloud capacity built around large GPU clusters. By the end of Q2 it already had 104 billion dollars in contracted future revenue, with another 25 billion dollars added early in Q3.

The same day ARKW trimmed its SpaceX position, but the trades do not represent a simple rotation. Since September 7 the fund has carried a new name that explicitly highlights artificial intelligence, neural networks and next-generation cloud services.
