On October 6 at 16:53 Turkish time, the Glamsterdam upgrade is set to activate on the Sepolia testnet in epoch 353024 and slot 11296768.
Operators running validators on Sepolia must update both their execution and consensus clients beforehand. The release merges the Amsterdam and Gloas changes into one coordinated step.
A central part of the update is ePBS, which formally separates block proposers from block builders at the protocol level to improve reliability and speed.
Block access lists are also introduced, allowing transactions to declare data needs in advance. This lays groundwork for parallel execution and higher throughput on the main network later.
