DogeOS has opened its public testnet Chikyū, letting developers move Ethereum-compatible tools over to the Dogecoin ecosystem. The platform runs on zero-knowledge proofs and stays compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
Teams can build decentralized exchanges, lending protocols, stablecoin apps, prediction markets and on-chain games. Transaction fees are paid in DOGE, and existing Solidity code can be plugged in for testing.
The Dogecoin main chain itself remains unchanged. Apps live on the DogeOS layer, with state anchored to Dogecoin through a bridge. Dogecoin miners do not directly validate the zero-knowledge proofs.
The project comes from the MyDoge wallet team. It raised 6.9 million dollars from Polychain Capital in May 2025. A July 2025 proposal to add zero-knowledge verification to Dogecoin’s core has not yet been implemented. No mainnet launch date has been set.
