Delegate Uğur Mersin claims the Compound Foundation quietly swapped 8.42 million DAI from reserves into 344,780 COMP tokens and used them to sway votes on proposals 580 and 582. The tokens reportedly returned to the multisig just 58 minutes before voting closed.
The accusations center on an alleged attempt to steer a 52-million-dollar spending program and the DAO treasury toward the Treasury Management Committee. Mersin points to on-chain records and says the assets were misleadingly described as liquid DAI.
The row echoes the governance battle that erupted at Aave in December 2025 over fee redirection. The foundation has not commented, and Cryptopolitan could not independently verify the transactions.
