Bitcoin climbed above $86,000, gaining more than 10 % from last Sunday’s low. Glassnode data from September 21 shows that market orders on centralized exchanges flipped from net selling to net buying, while spot volumes increased.
The total stablecoin supply reached $306.7 billion. It rose 1.23 % over the past month, and unlike the 2022–2023 bear market, the figure barely declined even during Bitcoin’s drop of more than 50 % from its peak.
Growth is fastest on Solana, where stablecoin balances jumped 7.35 % in 30 days to $16.87 billion. DEX trading volume across all chains totaled $265.1 billion over the same period.
Wintermute analysts warn that inflows via ETFs and stablecoins remain modest at just 2.4 % of total crypto market cap at the recent low. They suggest that a durable new cycle may need additional channels, with tokenized real-world assets seen as one potential source.
